How to Clean Keurig Water Reservoir and Filter Screen

You need to clean the Keurig water reservoir and filter screen regularly to keep your brewer working properly. Make sure you turn off your brewer prior to getting started. Remove the water reservoir and wipe off the base port where it sits with a damp cloth. Empty any remaining water from the water reservoir. Wipe out the inside of the water reservoir and wipe off the filter mesh screen while you have the water out of the reservoir. Use a water sprayer if you have one in your sink to ensure that anything that is caught in there is washed out. Swish the water around in the reservoir for 5 seconds and pour any remaining water out. Turn the water reservoir upside down and rub your finger over the bottom of the reservoir to clean it off. You are now ready to refill the Keurig water reservoir with fresh water and return it to the base port. Next, run a water only cycle in your Keurig brewer to make sure any last traces of stuff is cleaned out.
